DK SINHA

Dharmendra Kumar (DK) Sinha is President of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education and skills programs, public-private partnerships, and other initiatives designed for reskilling those in the workforce looking to obtain specialized technical skills for digital technology jobs.   DK was named president of the Cognizant U.S. Foundation following its creation in 2018.  

DK is Cognizant’s Executive Vice President and President, Global Client Services.  Appointed to his current business role in 2013, DK leads Cognizant’s global sales, field marketing and intermediary relations teams and is also responsible for the company’s strategic partnerships and alliances.

DK has held a number of senior management roles at Cognizant since joining the company in 1997.  From 2007 to 2013, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager, Global Sales and Field Marketing. Before that he served as Vice President responsible for the fast-growing manufacturing, logistics, retail, hospitality and technology vertical markets. DK also was previously Head of Sales and Field Marketing and managed the company’s insurance practice.

DK led several company initiatives to promote diversity and employee education, including the launch of a CPR training program in the United Kingdom that provided instruction to 3,000 employees and is credited with saving two lives so far.  The CPR training is now offered to employees as part of company business meetings.

Prior to joining Cognizant, DK held positions at Tata Consultancy Services and CMC Ltd, an end-to-end IT solutions provider.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Patna Science College in Patna, India, and an MBA degree from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
